1. Since 1974, I've carried a firearm in the US ARMY, in the Police Dept. for 12 years and now for 41 years in SAR work. I've had several situations where I was legally justified to shoot and kill someone trying to kill me and my search dogs. As a civilian, I've never had to fire my firearm and kill someone. We've had several situations, drunk hunters firing at us, other SAR people trying roll boulders down upon us in Skamania County trying to kill us during a search who were jealous of our success. Now we have some sports announcer trying to say if there was gun control there would be less violence and murder suicides in the USA. What a crock of SHIT. Has this reporter read the paper over the last two days? One butt head killed his dad with a bow and arrow, then killed himself. Another stabbed someone to death then took his own life. Gun control is me holding proper site alignment when I squeeze off a round at a badguy or bad gal trying to kill me. Not removing my rights to protect myself. Let's look at the facts. Washington DC has strong gun control laws. Unless you work for the PD or Govt, you can't carry a weapon in Wash. DC. Now look at the murder capital of the USA. Yes that's right Wash. DC ranks up there in the top of the states for total murders / assaults. By firearms, knives, and other weapons. the State of Illinois city of Chicago just logged in it's 500th murder this year. They don't allow citizens to carry a licensed concealed weapons permit. thus no protection for the law abiding citizens. It's time to arm each and every citizen and give them the right to protect themselves with proper training. Then and only then will we see crimes against person(s) / property go down. Like the old saying goes, You can have my weapon when you pry it from my cold dead hands. Then and only then will I give up my weapon. Have a nice day.
